Write own XPath and don’t use XPath tool?

If you say that you write your own XPath & don’t use XPath tool then you must know that Browser DevTools is not the right platform to verify XPath & CSS selectors.
When we say that we write own XPath i.e. we are writing them in browser devtools and verifying there but unfortunately that doesn’t give the right result always.
